My trip to Adaptation Camp'07 Berdyansk

Yesterday i came back home from my trip to Berdyansk. I am really
happy that i did it. Because i had some hesitations about going there
or not. But now i do not feel any pity about that. It worse that time
i spent in Berdyansk.
I went there by bus followed by train then by another bus and finally
by taxi. There were three of us:me, Nastya and Richard. My first
impression was caused by Nastya. I didnt think that she could be so
nice to prepare some food for me and Richard. That was really good of
her. Because i always rely on myself and do not wait any help from the
surroundings.
My next impression has happened after our arrival to the Adaptation
Camp in the evening. I was lucky to appear on the session about
Personal Effectiveness. And i really liked it and got a lot of
inspiration to keep on going on my way to my goals. That was very
important for me. Because for the last month i had a lack of
motivation.
In the evening delegates began their last party. And that party was a
piece of shit for me. People from my LC drank vodka just to be drunk
and all. It was so stupid for me. And i didn't want to take part at
that madness. So i drank just a bit beer and all. After having parties
with your close friends in not a big group of ppl Aiesec parties seen
to be extremly crazy and foolish.
In the morning after party i decided to have a jog followed by
swimming in the sea. Frankly speaking it was my main goal of going to
the conference:)
So i got up at 6 a.m. to make myself happy, put on my usual training
clothes except snickers. I used slippers instead of them because a was
going to have a jog on the sand of the seashore:) I came to the beach
took off my slippers and began jogging. In a minute i realised that i
didn't feel my feet. So that moment i was quite sure that it wouldn't
be any swimming and i put on my slippers and went back to have a warm
shower.
Actually i forgot to tell what the weather was like. And it was not
mild but severe. The temperature was about +10 and it doesn't seem to
be extremly cold for me but it was strong and fast wind blowing. And
this wind spoiled my striving for having a swim:) But i don't care.
Trip was amazing anyway.
And in my back train i realised that, in spite of lots of minuses that
i don't like in Aiesec due to this globalization processes with this
highest value of making more money in any way and fulfilling of
demands no matter how harmful they are, Aiesec gave me a lot. Even my
negative points about Aiesec i could figure out due to my @xp. And
finally i decided that i will keep on going trying to concentrate on
that huge amount of positive things that Aiesec has trying to decrease
the influence of negative moments.

Twilight Jogging

Today i went jogging at 6.00 a.m. with my canadian friend Jeffrey McLeod. You know that in this time of the year in Ukraine days are slowly becoming shorter. So its totally dark early in the morning. But it was not a big problem for us to jog in darkness:)
Frankly speaking i have never done such jogging in my life. But it was cool. We went out of Jeff's place when there was almost no people and only street lamps showed as the way. Jeff even couldn't see properly because human eyes have to adjust to such unusual lighting. And i also have to admit that it was early morning and we was a bit sleepy.
It was so incredible to jog along the empty streets of still sleeping city. I had a feeling that i was the only man living in Dnipro ( Of course, Jeff was there, but I don't count him, because he is from Prince George :) ) And the first thing that came out of my mind was the song "The world is mine.."
So we did all our training stuff and then decided to see the sunrise. But unfortunately the weather was not perfect to see it.
That morning was great:)

Successful person.

During last week i was thinking about what person is worse to be
called as SUCCESSFUL.
As for me and my research, we call people like that if they made a lot
of money, had an amazing career history, if they are popular,
respectful, independent and can afford everything they want.
But i think that's its not enough and very far away of that.
If we look at the wellknown people of this world whom are considered
to be successful and whom also can be some kind of an example for us,
we will see that we dont pay attention on their families.
For my point of view family and kids are the highest value. What can
be much more important than that?
In russian we say: "Дети-цветы жизни"(Kids are flowers of life)
So thats a main criteria of calling anybody as a successful person.
Because the most important aim is what you will leave before you die.
If you had all that stuff like money, career without family and kids
you would have had noting to leave after your death.

Thoughts about "Rus" by prof.Shevtsov

Today i continued my reading of my proffesor's book called "Rus". After reading some of the chapters i realized that i have to decrease my consumption of alchohol as soon as possible. And i also have to begin speaking Ukrainian everywhere i can and get rid of my bad habbit of swearing much!
I will try to implement my initiative. I have to do it if i think about being a socially responsible person.
